My personal experience with winter skiing in Austria

sn2

Ski Vacation in Austria has been a dream of mine although it was not from the beginning but has gradually become one, once around the time of departure, a new and unique experience that I just expected to live.

Not knowing what a top ski resort, I have not had too high expectations, and what I found there managed to amaze us. Ski people of all ages who stretched slopes on all sides of the mountain, passing on skis from a other country so simple and natural that neither gave you when it happened (if you were not looking good instruments and maps have all chances to get lost and never get to the time you left the resort) terraces full of people who stayed and enjoyed the sun and panoramas that were cutting your breathing, chanting all other skiers who enjoyed each descent, are small fragments of what we found in Ischgl.

What I can say is that no matter how much you know or not to ski, if you’re advanced or you just put your skis on foot, if you practiced small skiing or did you start skiing once mature, you get in a place full of people passionate about this sport, it is absolutely impossible not to fall in love irreparably and you will not want to come back another time.

It is an experience not to be missed, (why not, and repeated) remains unforgettable as the first and foremost be shared with someone special. At least it was for me. 🙂

And my story:

I really wanted to get to Austria, I did all sorts of calculations, we received invitations over, but it was bailed until this spring. We shopped, we tried to organize our sn4little paths and went to the West. Infernal road seemed long to me, I slept one night in Arad and the next day we drove over 14 hours. But what matter the details, the dream came true and on April 2 we arrived safely in Ischgl.

In recent years many friends came to the country waltz, made savings dropped to slide on slopes miseries of Romania and led thousands of miles for a one week skiing in Austria.

After leaving the Bansko great idea came to me …

Marius: “What about a week skiing in Austria ???”
Diana: “Well … come on, why heartbeat.”

Do not know why, but it’s hard to write about first experience skiing in Austria. We left with big thoughts and I quickly came down to earth, I thought I could not be more enjoyable experience staves, but we concluded that we are in a huge resort with many ski slopes which is seen as a industry.

I must say that provide a single ski area where I could ski and two countries: Austria and Switzerland. The Austrians cannot say that it was nice, a little crowded for my tastes, slopes were a little narrow and could be better beaten. But the Swiss have found a different story; we love the country slopes and landscapes Milk a cow.

– Slopes in Switzerland :

The Samnite, here I skied all day. Withdrawals made on the Austrian them when closing facilities. I do not want to exaggerate, but the first time looked perfect slopes in Switzerland and had more snow nature. They were mild or red, but that matters little boys and lifts you find wonderful snow.

– Slopes in Austria :

Terrace Pardorama we liked. The view was gorgeous and we found the way to Romania inscribed on a ski. Fagaras 1442 km, do not know why they did not choose Bucharest, too bad to deserve a name on a ski 80 years old.

The Romans that we met.

Paul, he showed us many beautiful areas on the Austrian side. I have to thank, I made him a full day ski safari (it was the most beautiful slopes of Ischgl experience). We were impressed that the man I have been with her stories and I Beric the increase in our brief breaks. skSuperb skiing Source Movement, a wood carving made freeride without any problem.

And Silviu, a Constanta friend which en-route to Switzerland… I had met him there. We skied one day together, and came on top of the black departing from Palinkopf.

Perhaps I exaggerate but black in the middle, the slender, have a slope of one kind Malinului Valley. So do not let down, work hard and satisfaction come to an end. Ice I do not belong on this side, any drop can leave a painful mark (I understand that many helicopters have had interventions in this area).

Road to Samnaun, Part 80 or go Duty Free:

An avalanche monster heart moved us from place to stop on the slope but its intensity decreased more in the pay and were not victims. For 20 seconds avalanche was like a waterfall of 250 m lucky that I was not close to where the snow has elapsed.

That was about our story in Austria, stick with super output on Pitztaler GLACIER and beautiful memories and Ischgl in Tyrol. Austrians have a great country, shame that we were not born there.

Our journey home is long and the next stop was in Budapest. But that is another story….
